We are family-owned studio team, with 30+ years of experience.
BeFitted Tailoring Co. is owned by a mother-daughter duo, led by Principal Tailor Diane. It all began over 30 years ago when Diane picked up her first needle and thread and hours later assembled her first dress. What first started as a hobby quickly developed into a passion. That passion evolved into specialization, and that specialization soon became wedding dress design.
Fast forward to the present. In 2015, Diane opened her own studio and private tailoring practice, and BeFitted Tailoring Company was born. With help from her two daughters, she built her online presence and a gorgeous sewing studio. The magical combination of hard work and luck resulted in Northern Virginia/Washington D.C.’s first wedding-dress-only alterations company!
Since then, we’ve hung out with hundreds (dare I say, thousands) of brides, getting to know them, loving them, and helping them feel awesome and kickass on their wedding days. Today we’re proud to be the highest-rated bridal tailoring company in the area.
