book an appointment (right now!)
Our booking calendar opens about 3 months in advance; bookings go fast!
If your wedding date is less than 2.5 months away, please email us first at hello@befittedtailoringco.com with a photo of you in your exact dress and your wedding date!
Your consultation may be canceled if you book under our standard alterations range (or if we are full), request customizations that we cannot accommodate, or select an appointment type that differs from the alterations you need (e.g., booking a wedding dress fitting for formal gown). We will notify you by email, so please double-confirm that your email address is one you actively check. When in doubt, book early when possible!

how fittings work with us
After you book an appointment online above, we will get you into our studio and show you the art of the possible. We typically have about 3 fittings, though we can sometimes get a perfect fit in 2.
We do not have any limitations on dresses we will alter (with exception to vintage or heirloom gowns) and it does not matter where you purchased your dress; we’ve done all sorts of dresses, including those from BHLDN, Lovely Bride, and Kleinfeld’s!).
what to bring with you
Final, exact wedding shoes
Shapewear or undies (think: nude-colored and not bulky)
Toppers or sashes (no need to bring veil or jewelry)
An open mind, ready to do this thang!
timing + pricing
We usually need a minimum of 3 months (3.5-4 is our standard), but rush orders are often possible (on a case-by-case basis). If we are able to accommodate, a rush fee ranging between 20-50% can apply.
As a rule, we are not able to offer price estimates over the phone or online. Many factors go into costing out alterations, including the style of dress, construction, material, and current fit.
Most people fall between the $695-1600 range
Note that not all gowns can be completely resized (this includes sample gowns)
We take a minimal number of dress customizations a season if you are looking for a redesign
If you want to shop around for some prices, the estimate only will be $50 and you’ll take the dress back with you
other good things to know
Try your dress on at home first! That will help you focus priority areas on the gown. We’ll have about 30 mins together.
You may bring a single guest. They will need to remain seated for the pinning/fitting portion of the appt.
We won’t charge your card on file. That is, unless you do not show up for your appointment. Don’t do that!
We’ve got some basic house rules. To receive service from us, you’ll have to agree to our terms of service. Read them here.
There is street parking right in front of our store, but plan accordingly.
A gentle reminder that booking a consultation does not guarantee that we will be able to alter your dress, especially if your dress is a rush order (we won't know for sure until you're in and every dress/body is different!). Please see our full terms of service online here. Come with an open mind, with your shoes and the right undies, and let's get ready to rock this together!
Your consultation may be canceled if you book under our standard alterations range, request customizations that we cannot accommodate, or select an appointment type that differs from the alterations you need (e.g., booking a wedding dress fitting for formal gown). We will notify you by email.
Your mileage will vary, but keep in mind that complexity has a direct correlation with costs and what is possible to alter. Dresses with delicate materials (silk, lace, dupioni, chiffon, scalloped edging, among many others) take hours of hands-on time and extra attention to detail. Beading is all hand-sewn (not all beaded dresses can be altered). Ball and full-train A-line gowns have a width and length that makes it difficult to use standard sewing techniques. Dresses with several layers get hemmed sometimes 5 or 6 times. Trims and finishes (including rhinestones) are also “high-touch” materials.
