book a gown drop-off now!

how it works

The cleaning/preservation process usually transpires as follows:

  1. Book your dress drop-off appointment online. We welcome all brides to use our cleaning/preservation service regardless of where they had their original alterations.

  2. Drop your dress off. Bring in your dress - in a garment bag - taking any other accessories or keepsakes out. Bring your veil too if it needs to be cleaned.

  3. Let us work some cleaning magic. We’ll get the dress fully spot and cleaned. Special attention is given to spots and the hem.

  4. The dress is packaged up! Once the dress is cleaned, we will either steam it and put it back in the garment bag for you, or have it placed in a special preservation box. The box is closed and sealed when it returns to you.

  5. Schedule a pick-up. We’ll send you a note when your dress is ready, and will either book your pick-up with you during your drop-off, or email you a link when it’s ready so you can find a good time that works for you. Et voila! It is yours again!

timing + pricing

  • Turnarounds are about 3-4 weeks. This all depends on how much spot cleaning is required to get your dress as renewed as possible!

  • Cleaning begins at $350. Many dresses will fall right around this point, though this may vary dependent on dress material, wear, and size. For example, a full multi-layer ballgown would cost more to clean than a simple sheath dress. We will let you know when you drop your dress off what the exact cleaning figure will be (no estimates are provided beforehand).

  • Preservation is optional, but highly recommended. Preservation involves carefully packing and stuffing your dress with acid-free tissue paper to keep it beautiful for years to come. This is recommended if you plan on keeping your dress (as opposed to selling or donating it). Most dresses fit nicely in the standard box which begins at around $165. If you have an oversized dress, the extra large box is $200+.

other good things to know

Here is the *laundry list* of other helpful things to know:

  • Most dirt and dust will come out of your dress. The bottom hem of your dress will likely be a light gray or brown. Most - but maybe not all - of that will come out during the cleaning process. Spray tan and make up usually can be removed as well.

  • Sometimes red wine and food are v stubborn. If you have red wine or food stains on your dress, those stains may or may not come out. We will try our best, but we can’t make any guarantees :/ If your dress has raw glitter on it, it may not be cleanable.

  • We may be able to make small repairs if needed. If you notice that your dress has torn a bit or has some other unsightly damage, we may be able to help (additional charges may apply).

  • The texture of your dress may change. Some materials may experience slight discoloration or a change in texture after cleaning. This is normal, but worth mentioning up front. We always use the lightest blend of cleaning agents as possible to get your dress as renewed as possible.

  • We’ve got some basic house rules. To receive service from us, you’ll have to agree to our terms of service. Read them here.

  • Hallelujah, we’ve usually got parking! There is street parking right in front of our store. See the map below for more info on how to find us.
