Wedding Dress Specialized Tailoring Studio Team of Bridal Seamstresses with Weekend Availability and Online Booking; Includes Pressing/Steaming, Dry Cleaning and Preservation, and Delivery and On-Site
Best in Class: Jiffy
This is the one that we use in the studio (along with every retail store you’ve ever been to!). The plastic head can get hot, so be sure to get some of the microfiber cloths linked in this section
For Travel: Steamfast
We use this for our travel and delivery gigs. It’s lightweight and the water tank isn’t so big that it’s unwieldy. Steam comes out in consistently and is great because the telescopic pole collapses.
For Big Bridal Parties: Pur Steam
This is a great one because it has wheels and a large water tank!
Jiffy Handheld
For International Travel: Electrolux
This little one is more powerful than you might think. This is our fav for on-the-road or destination wedding prep. Easy to use, powerful, and compact enough to slip away for your wedding and (any other trip you’ll take!)
For International Travel: Conair
This guy is pretty powerful and great for the price. Great for international travel (may need outlet converter).
Steaming Cover Microfiber Towels
We recommend these towels to help you with steaming. They are cheap, trusty, and we run through them like it’s nobody’s business! Also trust that you will want the bigger size. Get these!
Non-See-thru Garment Bag
The garment bag your dress likely came with is breathable, but thin. We love this as a real covering for your dress it you are traveling. We also love that they are reusable!
Muslin Garment Bag for Long-Hauls and Storage
Certain silks, organzas, mesh, and beaded gowns are very sensitive. Muslin bags are their friends. This is an industry classic good for travel and storage.
Best in Class Garment Bag for Flying
This is your best option if your gown will not fit in a carry-on suitcase. These are the real deal and are very high-quality.
XL Flying Travel Bag
This works a quick cheap fix to getting your large wedding dress from A to B. Don’t count on this to last more than a single use, but when all else fails - if used correctly - this can help you transport your ballgown.
Gown-Friendly Carry-on Hardshell Suitcase
If you are flying on a plane, it’s always best to carry-on your dress. We like this hardshell because the square edges allow you to pack as much as possible into this case, and it cannot get crushed.
